1 down, 4 to go!!!

I woke up rather early this morning because of the osce exam at 7.55am. Everytime before exam, I must have at least 3 hours of consciousness so that I can revise a little bit and stuff in some knowledge prior the exam, and hopefully the last minute revision would help me in answering the questions. haha. the weather in the morning was very cold, i put on my scarfs and 3 layers of jackets and then walked to the pharmacy building. Still, the cold wind manage to diffuse across my jackets onto my skin surface and by that time i reached the pharmacy building, i can already feel the numbness on my both hands and face. haha.

i went into the exam room, together with the other 9 students, we are the unfortunate ones to be selected to be the first batch of students who went in the exam room. I prayed to God, hopefully that the question i got wasn't too difficult and related to what I had prepared for it. They started to distribute the paper. I was so surprise to see my name printed on the paper. wow! It must be a great effort for them to prepare the papers to have all the student's name printed on the paper individually. Then the instruction came 'you may start now'. Okay. I opened the paper, and then wtf... all the medication name that I've never heard of... and no diabetes, no hypertension... the diseases Mr. Robert is suffering from are the topics i am most unfamiliar with... benign prostate hyperplasia.. wtf is that... except the rheumatoid arthiris, which i think i'm quite well prepared for the topic... okay never mind, stay calm.. don't be afraid... I tried to look up from AMH to see what are the medications indicated for, whether the dosing prescribed is accurate for Mr. robert, and other important informations that i need to know for that particular disease.. i spent the last 5 minutes to write the questions so that i know what to ask in the interview later....

we were then lead to the next station where we had our patient interview.. so professor andrew is my mr. robert.. hahaha... he spoke quite clear english, so i don't think i have much problem in this section.. basically, i asked all my questions that i wanted to know... except i didn't smile a lot, too tension and nervous.. haha.. maybe will get deducted some marks because of that i think. i don't know.. mr. robert complained that ha has burning and tingling sensation on his lower limbs... so i suspect there might be something wrong with one of the medication, which i didn't find out beforehand.. oh well, it's not a bad thing to realise this at this point of time, it just means i need more time to do some research on it in the last 30 minutes report writing time...

and then we went into another room.. i tried to key in the password in order to log into the computer but apparently the keyboard wans't functioning. shit.. nervous nervous... i restarted the computer again.. and sir, i need extra time for this!! so i quickly read through the AMH for all the drugs to find out if there's any adverse effects that will result in burining and tingling sensation... 5 minutes gone.. okay.. this is really bad... other people already started on their report writing and i was still looking for the information that i want.. now.. the last drug... macrodantin.. and finally i can see some familiar words in this section... hooray... ad yes, macrodantin causes peripheral polyneuropathy... so it's essential for mr. robert to stop macrodantin immediately to prevent the symptoms worsen... now.. i proceed to my next findings and recommendations... when i wrote until the third recommendations, the supervisor came and took away my pen, he didn't took away my paper.. haha i don't know why.. usually when you want people to stop writing you will take their paper not pen, rite?

after that was quarantine session. apparently they don't prepare many different questions that's why students need to be quarantined afterwards to prevent some students who haven't sit for the exam to know the questions.. the last batch was scheduled at 2.55pm i think. it wasn't really a strict quarantine because there's only one supervisor inside the room, and she was busy reading some paper. i wonder if she knew if someone actually use their mobile and communicate with others. i didn't join the discussion about the paper but i overheard someone talked about the top 3 findings.. uhhh... thanks God again i didn't make any big mistakes on it.. but perhaps my report writing skills is a bit unorganised that will make me lose some marks.. haha..

okay.. 10.30pm.. we were released woohoo!! 1.5 hours in the pharmacy lecture theatre did nothing except talking talking talking..... stree released after exam haah.
