Another OSCE paper for this year. This time is different from last time. We gotta have a case conference with doctor whereas last semester we did an interview with the patient. I didn't have enough sleep.... went to the bed at around 1am yesterday night and woke up at 6am this morning... 5 hours definitely is not enough for me... the sleeping devil had conquered me and i went to the bed again at 7am until 8am lol... a lot to study but i knew i will never finish study.. so i picked a few topics to focus on, especialy the psychotropic part... hopping that at least there will be some medical issues related to this psycho problem.. and then i went to report myself at pharmacy lecture theatre.. exam starts on 11.10am but we got to be in the plt at 10.20am... and then the previous batch students will be released from their quarantine.. everyone in the morning will get the same paper thats why they need to do this.. i still remember last semester i was the first batch of student who went in for osce.. 7.50am.. damn early.. this time still in the morning batch but at least no need to be quarantined. finish then can go home straight lol..
i prayed before i went into badham 3... i prayed that the questions wouldnt be too hard... and not too tricky so that i can handle it easily.. and also i prayed if i couldnt identify all issues, at least manage to pick a few issues and then FOCUS on them... i also prayed that i get a good doctor so that he can give me hints if i missed out anything.. and then i looked at the paper.. wow, neuropathic pain!!! such an unpopular medical issue. we hardly touched on this topic this semester except that i remembered in our first tutorial case there was this tramadol for neuropathic pain... i used mainly the AMH to work out the medication review, hardly use the computer... haha... i read and read, tried to calm down, and managed to identify a few problems.. didn't have enough time to write out all findings and recommendations... so i decided to leave the rest till the last 10 minutes. we were then asked to go to the room where we had our case conference with doctor.. haha. the doctor i get.. don't know how to describe... he was quiet all the time, only me keep talking non-stop... i guess that was a good sign... coz it means i got all my findings and recommendations correct and he has nothing to question abt them lol... so i finished all my f and r unexpectedly early... he started to question... if this medication doesnt work what would you do?? and then i knew it! there must definitely be something that i left out and thanks to the doctor pointed that out to me... i didn't know the answer but i told the doctor i would like to look it up later... so we ended the conference.. 2 minutes earlier... in the last 10 minutes i quickly wrote down what i missed out.. and looked up for the alternative treatment if the first treatment failed and wrote them down.. only the last point lifestyle measures about rum drinks.. i wanted to advise patient not to take it before bed but not enough time to write down the full reasonings lol.. but thats okay since its not a big issue out of all the other issues that i had identified hahah... and so i submitted the paper.. marked the end of OSCE hoorrayyy!!!! =)
